Donald Montgomery, Finance and Commercial Manager
Responsible for the implementation and management of commercial outcomes across the business, Donald Montgomery oversees the administration of all financial and statutory reporting requirements for HWE Mining and its subsidiaries, as well as the management and compilation of the business planning processes. With a background in construction and mining, Donald transferred to HWE Mining from his previous position as Finance Manager for Leighton Asia based in Hong Kong. His portfolio of responsibility at Leighton Asia encompassed all territories within Greater China including Hong Kong, Macau, China, and Taiwan.
Mike Sutton, Business Manager - Pilbara Iron Ore Group
Mike Sutton is an experienced business manager with significant expertise in operations management and strategic planning. As Business Manager - Pilbara Iron Ore Group, Mike leads the team responsible for managing four of BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s six world class iron ore mines in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
Mark Milazzo, Business Manager - Mining

Mark Norwell has extensive expertise in all aspects of mining operations and project management. An experienced and astute manager, Mark is responsible for the development of mine development proposals for new surface mining projects with Rio Tinto Iron Ore.
Rob Beeck, Engineering Services Manager
Rob Beeck has an extensive background in executive, operations and project management, with specific expertise in metallurgical process and materials handling operations associated with nickel, iron ore, diamonds and gold. As Engineering Services Manager, Rob leads the team responsible for feasibility studies, project development, fixed asset maintenance strategies, and design and construction of mine site and processing plant infrastructure.
Kaye Clements, Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager
Kaye Clements is a highly accomplished manager having worked at executive level within the public and private sectors. With overall responsibility for HWE Mining's safety, health, environment and quality management systems, Kaye draws on her skills as an experienced strategic planner, business manager and expert facilitator.
Kevin Rooney, Plant Manager
With considerable experience in managing mobile plant and equipment, Kevin Rooney is responsible for managing HWE Mining's plant operations, which includes over 350 major machines plus ancillary equipment. Kevin is based at HWE Mining’s Plant and Project Support workshop in Welshpool, Perth.
Nick Furnivall, Employee Services Manager
With a background in the oil and gas and contract mining sectors, Nick Furnivall has extensive experience in human resources management and employee relations, both in Australia and overseas. As Human Resources Manager, Nick is responsible for the management and implementation of HWE Mining's human resources strategy which includes employee relations, attraction and retention, professional development and payroll services.
Ian Meares, Project Director - Mining Infrastructure
Ian Meares has an extensive background in project management and leading high performance teams for significant large scale and remote projects in Australia and overseas. As Project Director - Mining Infrastructure, Ian is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams from HWE Mining and Leighton Contractors in developing integrated mining and infrastructure solutions for mine owners. Ian also leads the team responsible for developing business proposals, tenders and submissions for new and existing projects.
Paul Knuckey, Estimating Manager
With more than 20 years experience in senior operational, administrative and management roles in the mining and construction industries, Paul Knuckey is responsible for managing the integrity of business tenders and ensuring alignment with HWE Mining's organisational goals.
